I have been using Leslie Sansone's indoor walking program since the birth of my son. For me, it was the best way to lose all the weight I gained (60+ pounds!), get back into shape and keep the weight off.
What I love most about this program is that it's one I can easily stick with. I've done just about every program out there (DVD's, bootcamps, dance-based classes), but I've always returned to this walking program. The 4 basic steps are simple - which is exactly what someone with two left feet (that would be me!) needs. The most effective workout is the one that you want to continue doing!
In addition, with this program, I've been able to train for several races--including three half-marathons. I'm never the fastest, but I know I'm strong enough to finish! My husband even likes joining me in a walking workout. Because it is low-impact, he does not experience the knee pain that he does when going for an outdoor 3 mile walk around our local park.
My goal is to support and encourage my clients while helping them get in better shape, become more active and achieve good health. And hopefully, we'll have a little fun while we're at it!
